What is an LRMT?

There are several categories of Reiki teachers in the ICRT organization:
Certified Reiki Master Teacher
Licensed Reiki Master Teacher
Senior Licensed Reiki Master Teacher
LRMT Mentor Teacher

A Certified teacher has taken the three day Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki Master or Holy Fire® Karuna Reiki® Master training with an ICRT Certified, Licensed, or Senior Licensed teacher. They are certified to teach Reiki at their level of training (Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki or Holy Fire® Karuna Reiki®) and have been actively teaching Reiki classes on a regular basis.

An LRMT is a Licensed teacher who has taken all levels of ICRT training with other Licensed teachers and has completed the Licensed Reiki Master Teacher Training Program, which is an extensive program that takes 3-4 years to complete and requires over 1000 hours of additional study and practice.  The curriculum has been specifically designed for Reiki Masters who choose to dedicate themselves to the teaching and practice of Reiki at the highest level. All maintain an active Reiki practice and are committed to empowering themselves and others through the use of Reiki. They are licensed to use our unique LRMT logo. LRMTs also agree to support the Center’s Philosophy and Purpose, the Reiki Ideals and to be working on their own personal healing. They also agree to abide by our Code of Ethics and minimum teaching standards. These high standards allow our LRMTs to provide quality Reiki training that is consistent and verifiable.

A Senior Licensed Reiki Master Teacher has been an actively teaching LRMT in good standing with ICRT for a minimum of 5 years.

A Mentor teacher is a Licensed teacher who mentors students in the Licensed Teacher Training Program.
